Kelsa’s adorable puppies

Kelsa's cute puppies are now 3 1/2 weeks old.  We decided to keep the bells on the collars of these puppies, in order to be able to tell them apart from their "cousins".  Even though Kirsa's puppies are a little older, Kelsa's are just as big.  The two litters of puppies are spending time playing and exploring together each day.

Enjoying the outdoors

Kirsa's puppies are almost three weeks old now and have been enjoying the unusually warm weather we have been having the past couple of days. "All this fresh air and exploring is making me a little sleepy"...  Kirsa is looking on, keeping watch over them all.

Please note that ALL of these puppies are reserved.  If you would like to reserve a puppy from one of our future litters, contact us here. Kelsa had her puppies on March 30th.  She very kindly whelped during the afternoon and finished near midnight, so that we got at least some sleep. :)   She has 4 sweet females and 4 cute males.  Kelsa is a very attentive mother and vigorously licks her little pups all over,…

10 Puppies

Please note that ALL of these puppies are reserved.  If you would like to reserve a puppy from one of our future litters, contact us here. Kirsa gave birth on March 23rd to 10 puppies!  She really surprised us!  We had no idea that she was carrying that many!  We use a stripe of no-toxic paint to help  us identify and keep track of each puppy, hence the odd looking colours on their little heads. The…

Kelsa just had an ultrasound and we have good news!  She is pregnant and is due for the 28th of October.  We are all looking forward to the arrival of these little bundles of fun and even more to seeing the happiness they will bring to their new families when they leave in time for Christmas.

The team is growing!

Gabriel arrived in June, but we have been so busy that we haven't got around to posting his birth announcement until now.  Here are some precious pictures taken a few weeks after his birth.  Kirsa absolutely loves babies!  She will not leave their side and enjoys giving them kisses, much to the dislike of the baby!

German Shepherds in Combat

German Shepherds were used in World War 1 to find injured soldiers and to carry messages. They had quite a job to do! Dodging bullets and sniffing out landmines, they were the real heroes of the battlefield. Bullets flying, shells exploding everywhere, tanks rumbling along, it was a terrifying place to be, to say the least! Though running through all of that, never once did they flinch, never once did they look back. The dog…

A couple of weeks ago, after a heavy snowfall, Jonathan and Royal Aslan went out skiing together.  Skijoring is a sport that Aslan loves.  He is strong, full of energy and loves to run. David did an excellent job of capturing the typical alert and inquisitive expression in Aslan's eyes.  Isn't he such a handsome dog?  We think so! Now the snow is beginning to melt, so winter sports will give way to bicycling,  jogging…

Snow castles

Snow!  Both German Shepherds and children love it!  All the more when a large pile of snow created from cleaning the driveway turns into an imaginary castle and there are make-believe enemies attempting to capture it.  I just love the ever watchful and vigilant expressions that GSDs have.  Kirsa really looks she is taking the children's game very seriously!  It was quite a scramble for Kirsa to scale the walls, but she relished the challenge. …
