Puppies on the way!

Kelsa just had an ultrasound and we have good news!  She is pregnant and is due for the 28th of October.  We are all looking forward to the arrival of these little bundles of fun and even more to seeing the happiness they will bring to their new families when they leave in time for Christmas.

The team is growing!

Gabriel arrived in June, but we have been so busy that we haven't got around to posting his birth announcement until now.  Here are some precious pictures taken a few weeks after his birth.  Kirsa absolutely loves babies!  She will not leave their side and enjoys giving them kisses, much to the dislike of the baby!

Skijoring

Now the snow is beginning to melt, so winter sports will give way to bicycling,  jogging…

Snow castles

Snow!  Both German Shepherds and children love it!  All the more when a large pile of snow created from cleaning the driveway turns into an imaginary castle and there are make-believe enemies attempting to capture it.  I just love the ever watchful and vigilant expressions that GSDs have.  Kirsa really looks she is taking the children's game very seriously!  It was quite a scramble for Kirsa to scale the walls, but she relished the challenge. …

Meet the New Team Member

Josiah, the newest member to the team, arrived last December.  Kirsa took her duties to protect and watch over him very seriously.  She was constantly alert and on guard to unusual noises and perceived threats. Now 8 months later, Kirsa has relaxed a lot and she and Josiah have become best buddies.  Josiah gets very excited whenever he sees her coming and she will lie down right beside him when he is playing on the…
